Aug 21, 2017 - 16:36

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Ten thousands illegal Afghan refugees have been registered recently in Pakistaninfo-icon, with another seven hundred thousand illegal refugees to be documented in the coming six months, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Monday.

The registration process of illegal Afghan migrants kicked off in Pakistan on August 16. Up to 10,000 Afghan migrants had been registered so far, a statement from the ministry said.

It added in the coming six months, 700,000 more Afghan refugees would be documented at 21 registration centres of NADRA with the help of the Afghan government and UNHCR.

Twenty-five Afghan officials were dispatched on Monday to Pakistan to monitor the registration process, the ministry said.
