2 dead in Farayb clinic explosion
MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and one wounded in a bomb blast inside a clinic in the Khwaja Sabzposh district of northwestern Faryab province on Monday morning.
Abdullah Masoomi, the district’s administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place at a health centre at 9am. He said a woman and one man were killed and a nurse wounded.
He added no one had been arrested in connection with the blast. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
A resident of the area, who did not want to be named, said four injured were evacuated to the provincial hospital. However, he was unaware of their condition.
On Sunday evening, two Taliban were killed as a result of a landmine explosion in the Kairabad village of Farah City, said Noorul Haq Khaliqi, an ANA official.
However, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said one of fighter was killed and another wounded in the blast.
